Second funding period (2024-2026)
Aims of second funding phase
In the second funding phase of the DFG 3D Viewer, the focus is on the establishment of permanent operations and the inclusion of additional repositories and infrastructures:
- Implementation and testing of a distributed infrastructure
- Aggregation of 3D models
- Development and provision of an executable reference installation
- Development of a sustainability plan
In addition, community development will be promoted through support, forums, hackathons and integration into European 3D infrastructures. Online surveys and user workshops are planned for evaluation and needs assessment, which will be continued in phase 3.
