FAQ
What happened to the METS light example?
The old METS light example was replaced by a new minimal example, which implements the page-based document model. The additions include no more than 6 rows, thus working with the new minimal format isn't more complicated than before. On the other hand, all supported METS variants are based on the same document model now, which makes data exchange and handling a lot easier.
Although the DFG Viewer still supports METS light, you are strongly encouraged to update your data. New users should always start with the page-based document model.
The DFG Viewer is open source software. But where do I find the source code?
The source code of the DFG Viewer is licensed under GPL 3.0 and can be downloaded from Launchpad free of charge. Only the design template is protected under copyright and may exclusively be used non-publicly for demonstration and testing purposes.
Where can I report a bug?
The development of the DFG Viewer takes place in Launchpad. There you can find a bugtracker which leads you through the process of reporting a bug.
